Welcome to The Appaloosa Horse Ranch

The Appaloosa Horse Ranch is a small family run breeding and training operation established in 1997.  We are located just outside of McAllister, Montana.  In the beautiful Madison Valley, known for its world class fly fishing and great 4th of July rodeo.  Just 50 miles South West of Bozeman, and 80 miles North West of Yellowstone National Park.

Our focus is producing horses with amazing dispositions, sound minds, willing attitudes, correct conformation, athletic ability and spectacular color.  We produce only a few foals a year which enables us to spend a great deal of individual time with each one.  Getting to know each foals personality and building a secure foundation of trust with each foal.

In 1997 we acquired out first Stallion "Ima Bright Duro" his wonderful temperament sold me on the Appaloosa horse.  I bred him to Appaloosa and Quarter horse mares all his foals were wonderful easy to handle and very colorful just like him.  The more I learned about the Appaloosa breed and its true history the more interested I became in acquiring some true foundation bloodlines.  In 2002 I had the opportunity to purchase a full bred Scripter Stallion "Galahads Apache Too".  He began breeding in 2004 and his foals are incredible.  Today I am breeding both full foundation Appaloosa's and also crossing my foundation stallion on the daughters of my original stallion.  I now have 2nd generation foals from my breeding program and I can say they have all had incredible dispositions.

Our true foundation bloodlines include Money Creek's Rockledge, Solar Flair Eclat, Chubs Powderface, Apache Polar Star, Ulrich's Many Coup and the Ghost Wind Stallions.  Our modern bloodlines include Bright Eyes Brother, Nugget Jim, James Bond, and Impressive Andrew.  With our design a foal program you may design a full foundation Appaloosa or a wonderful cross between old and new lines.
